Immunizations

 

Many of the overseas countries/areas we visit request immunizations.

Please be sure to obtain the below immunizations prior to your arrival to CAPSTONE.

 

 

 

Class 10-1 requirements

 

 

Immunization Recommendations for Capstone:

 

SWA - FELLOWS ARE REQUIRED TO CARRY COPY OF THEIR SHOT RECORD (required for entry into some countries)
 
Required: none  **Malaria is a risk, medication will be provided by NDU.**
 
Recommended: Influenza, Typhoid, Tetanus, Hepatitis A and B, MMR (if has not received one dose as an adult), Tetanus, Pneumococcal (>65yrs of age)
 
Pacific  - FELLOWS ARE REQUIRED TO CARRY COPY OF THEIR SHOT RECORD (required for entry into some countries)

Europe - FELLOWS ARE REQUIRED TO CARRY COPY OF THEIR SHOT RECORD (required for entry into some countries)

Recommended: Influenza, Typhoid, Tetanus, Hepatitis A and B, MMR (if has not received one dose as an adult), Tetanus, Pneumococcal (>65yrs of age)

Obtain vaccinations prior to your course start date. Most vaccines require a minimum of two weeks to achieve a desired effect and Hepatitis A and B require multiple doses.

It is highly recommended that you bring enough chronic medications for the six week CAPSTONE course and that you bring your own insect repellent and sun screen.

We will provide you with Ambien, Motrin, and aspirin on arrival to CAPSTONE to use in support of your travel. Those going to SWA and Pacific will be given Malarone for Malarial prophylaxis.

All trips:
-Malaria Prophylaxis - Anti Malaria medications will be provided by NDU.
-bring your own insect repellent and sunscreen
