Cyber Conflict and Critical Infrastructure Protection

The Cyber Conflict Studies Association (CCSA) and the National Defense University (NDU) will host a series of workshops on Cyber Conflict and Critical Infrastructure Protection. The workshop series will bring together technology and policy leaders to address changing threat models and their possible impact on the shared, network centric critical infrastructure. The workshops support the CCSA's commitment to educate, publish and influence the development of policy and research effecting national defense and homeland security.

Complexity and Critical Infrastructure Vulnerabilities

At this initial workshop we will explore the designs of shared military/civilian critical infrastructures and the impact cascading effects of attacks can have on homeland defense and the national (and global) economy. The outcome will be a prioritization of focus issues for the workshop series.

Addressing Complexity and Pursuing Cyber Security: Learning from Modeling, Simulation, War Games and Exercises

At this workshop, we will explore the possibilities of problem solving, design, and cyber protection techniques through the melding of gaming and other non-traditional non-linear modeling and simulation techniques and red teaming, table top exercises with more traditional approaches. This workshop is also co-hosted by the Joint Task Force for Global Network Operations and the Washington Center for Complexity and Public Policy.
