Relevant Professional Experience:
Dr. Clavadetscher has led College course initiatives for Systems Acquisition Management and IT within the Defense Acquisition Workplace Improvement Act (DAWIA) program of Defense Acquisition University (DAU) over the last ten years. Dr. Clavadetscher retired from the California State University system, where he chaired four departments including two IT departments, and served as acting Director of Graduate Studies and Acting CIO. Dr. Clavadetscher is a combat decorated veteran of Vietnam.
Scholarship:
Dr. Clavadetscher's main academic interests are software development in DoD and DoD acquisition (especially of software). He made recent presentations at the Federal IT Summit (2006) and the Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (AT&L) National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) meeting on the Capability Maturity Model-Integrated (CMMI) (2006). He is actively involved with the AT&L "top current problems in Systems and Software Engineering" initiative, and participates in the DOD/DHS/NSA/NIST initiatives under Information Assurance Technical Framework Forum (IATFF) for Software Assurance.
