Relevant Professional Experience:
Dr. Schulin’s early career included managing political campaigns, providing legislative staff support on Capitol Hill, and working in private industry as a legislative liaison. For over 24 years, Dr. Schulin’s career has been centered within the Department of Defense, beginning with her 1982 selection as a Presidential Management Intern. She served in a series of progressively senior leadership positions where her focus was U.S. Army logistics and human capital development. Prior to joining the IRM College, Dr. Schulin taught strategic leadership and information strategies at NDU’s Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF).

Scholarship:
Dr. Schulin’s research interests include leadership, leader development, the evolving role of the Chief Information Officer, on-line education, and multi-media education. Her recent articles, include “Listening to Learn: Can and Will Leaders Learn by Listening?” published in the July 2006 International Association for Development of the Information Society (iadis) Mobile Learning International Conference, “On-line Education – A Means to Educate Information Age Leaders,” published in the May 2005, Information Resources Management Association (IRMA) International Conference Proceedings, and “Clicks and Bricks: Transforming Education,” published in the Summer 2004, Academic Exchange Quarterly. Dr. Schulin has led several presentations at international forums on hand-held multi-media for learning, as well as best practices in on-line education.
