Relevant Professional Experience:
For over 33 years, Ms. Polydys has provided the U.S. Department of Defense expert services in information technology acquisition and project management, enterprise architecture, data management, and information security and information assurance education. As Department Chair of the Information Operations and Assurance Department at the Information Resources Management College, she leads the college’s National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education designated by the National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security. She currently supports the national software assurance initiative sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense by co-chairing the Software Assurance Acquisition Working Group and authoring the acquisition section of the Software Assurance Body of Knowledge.
Scholarship:
Ms. Polydys’ scholarship focuses on acquisition (and software assurance in acquisition), enterprise architecture, information planning, data management, and information assurance. Her recent publications include an article in Acquisition Review Quarterly entitled “Interoperability in DoD Acquisition Programs through Enterprise ‘Architecting’” and “Information Resources Management: The Key to Effective Government and National Security,” published in The Information Leader.
