Relevant Professional Experience:
Dr. Tompkins has been with the IRM College's Systems Management Department since 1995 and was appointed chair in 2004.  Prior to joining the IRM College, Dr. Tompkins served as Deputy Program Manager for the Reserve Component Automation System in the U.S. Army and the Director of Operations Support for the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Reserve Affairs).  He is DAWIA Level III Certified in Program Management and Information Resources Management.

Scholarship:
Dr. Tompkins’ current areas of interest and publication are Information Resources Law and Information Operations and Assurance.
