Security and Access

Two government issued photo identification (ID) cards may be required to enter the USCG HQ and Fort McNair. Use a current DoD-issued ID (Common Access Card is best) and either a driver's license or passport bearing your photo. As threat conditions may dictate, please allow for possible delays in gaining entry to Fort McNair or to the USCG HQ building.

If the threat condition is raised or there are weather warnings, please call the University at (202) 685-4700 for current information. If NDU or the federal government is closed or shut down, the NOP is also shut down.
