Class Schedule & First Day

You are not required by NATO Education Center to check in prior to the first day of class. There are no facilities at Fort McNair to check you in before the first day of class. NEC can endorse your orders to reflect your early arrival if you do arrive the weekend prior to class. Generally, class will be from 0800 to 1700 each day. On the second Thursday, class will include an address by a senior guest speaker and a graduation ceremony, which ends no earlier than 1600. Due to traffic congestion, we suggest not making any flight reservations prior to 1900 on the concluding day. There will be a class social in the first week.
