Notification Process
After allowing the US Embassies approximately 30 days to begin the administrative support process for the civilian participants, CHDS sends an email to all the candidates. All candidates are notified by the Registrar’s office via email 60 days before the course begins whether they were 1) selected to attend, 2) selected for the wait list, or 3) not selected.
After the initial notification, through a series of email correspondence, the Registrar’s office will remain in regular contact with all civilian and military participants, which includes providing the information for accessing the CHDS on-line web portal, Blackboard. This pre-course information includes the Frequently Asked Questions and is provided approximately two weeks before the course begins (for Foundational Courses) or five weeks before the course begins (for Advanced Courses).
Working in conjunction with the appropriate leaders from the Ministry of Defense or other military service representatives, the military participants are identified and notified by the office of the US military representatives in each country.
For questions or further clarification of this policy, please contact the Registrar’s office at chdsregistrar@ndu.edu.
