Anthony Harriott
Anthony Harriott is a Lecturer in the Department of Government at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus. He is a former Fellow at the Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies. He is actively engaged in the policy process in the Caribbean and is a former advisor to the Minister of National Security and Justice in the Government of Jamaica and currently serves as a member of the Caribbean Task Force on Crime and Security which was established by the Heads of Government of the CARICOM states. He is the author of Policing and Crime Control in Jamaica: Problems of Reforming Ex-Colonial Constabularies which was published in 2000, and has written several articles on crime, crime control, policing, and security in the Caribbean region.
