The National Defense and Security Fiscal Budget of Peru 

Eduardo Morón

Eduardo Morón received his Ph.D. in Economics at UCLA, holds an M.A. in Economics from the Universidad del CEMA in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and studied Economics at Universidad del Pacífico in Peru. Currently he is a Professor in the Economics Department of the Universidad del Pacífico. He is the research coordinator of the Macro and Economic Policy Research Area at the Research Center of Universidad del Pacífico (CIUP). He is author and editor of several books, working papers and academic articles. Among his latest publications are, The Incomplete Reform: Saving the Nineties?, CIUP-IPE, jointly edited with Roberto Abusada, Fritz DuBois and José Valderrama (Lima, 2000), and a series of studies about pension reforms with Eliana Carranza. He runs the Peruvian Budget Project at CIUP and he is a member of the Latin American Budget Transparency Index in Peru. Morón is a frequent commentator in the major Peruvian newspapers.
