Jacqueline Muniz

Jacqueline Muniz is a Sociologist, with a Master’s in Social Anthropology and a Ph.D. in Political Science.  She has done various research projects on public security in Brazil and, between January 1999 and March 2000, served as the Research Director of the Ministry of Public Security of the State of Rio de Janeiro.  Currently she is a member of the Strategic Studies Group (GEE da COPPE/UFRJ) and a researcher at the Centro de Estudos de Segurança e Cidadania – CESEC of the Universidade Candido Mendes, in Rio de Janeiro.
