Dr. Celina d’Araujo

Dr. Celina d’Araujo holds a Ph.D. in Political Science, is a Senior Researcher at the Centro de Pesquisa e Documentação de História Contemporânea do Brasil da Fundação Getulio Vargas (CPDOC-FGV) in Rio de Janeiro. She is also a Professor in the Political Science Department and of the Graduate Program in Anthropology and Political Science at the Universidade Federal Fluminense in Rio de Janeiro.

Dr. d’Araujo was a Visiting Professor at the Center for Hemispheric Defense and Security (CDHS), National Defense University (NDU), Washington, D.C. in February 2003.

She has worked in authoritarianism and civil military relations in Brazil for several years and has also published some books and articles about the "Era Vargas" in Brazil.
