CHDS Assistant Professor, Ms. Celina Realuyo was a Guest Speaker on Radio Bilingue Linea Abierta Show
CHDS Assistant Professor Celina Realuyo was a guest on the Radio Bilingüe Linea Abierta Show (Spanish NPR), live from Radio Row at the Health Action 2012 summit on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. She joined host Samuel Orozco to discuss the prescription drug abuse epidemic in the U.S. and the current threat from counterfeit drugs, particularly in the Latino community. Radio Bilingüe is the first Spanish-language radio network to broadcast news over the public radio satellite system in the United States. Its National program Linea Abierta reaches hundreds of thousands of listeners nationwide. The program is aired in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, Tucson, and dozens of other cities, as well as numerous rural areas across the US.
