General Eisenhower signs War Department Circular 130, 3 May 1946, that renames the school "The Industrial College of the Armed Forces". The School is renamed "The Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy" in a 6 September 2012 ceremony. The school is located at Fort Lesley J McNair on the National Defense University campus in Washington DC.

The Industry Study Program gives Eisenhower School students a unique opportunity to meet with senior leaders and assess the current state of particular national industries. Student fieldwork is available in the Industry Reports section

Former Secretary of State, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Colin Powell addresses students in Baruch auditorium during a recent visit. Students and faculty benefit from the guest speaker programs by providing access to outstanding contemporary leadership experiences and wisdom.

Eisenhower School students will read, think and write about a wide variety of National Security topics. The opportunities for writing acclaim are plentiful and the faculty take great care to develop student writing skills.

The Prep-T program offers students an opportunity to visit operationally important systems with major relevance or standing in the Eisenhower School curriculum or National Security. These students are visiting a border crossing point with Mexico.

The National Security Strategy Exercise gives students a platform to present executive level National Security reports to distinguished visitors. Acting as assistants to National Security Advisors, students create and recommend a new President's National Security Strategy Report (NSS).

Students and faculty have many opportunities to learn from each other during the year. The seminar system provides close contact between students, and students and faculty. The excellent and experieced faculty maintain a 3:1 student faculty ratio.

Students travel and do fieldwork at large works or systems that affect National Security. The Prep-T and Industry Study programs get students into the field around the globe. These students get an exceptional view of the Panama Canal.

The Eisenhower Experience includes a number of sporting events. Our neighbors at The National War College compete with the Eisenhower School for the President's Cup throughout the year. Spring time means a trip to the Thorpe Games with all the other senior service schools.
