Relevant Professional Experience:
In 2009, Ms. Coopersmith was promoted to Director of Outreach and International Relations at the NDU iCollege, as her role expanded from domestic/academic partnerships to overseas engagements and relationships. Prior to this role, she was the Project Manager of Educational Initiatives, managing the college’s 40 academic partners, teaching the Advanced Management Program (AMP) process improvement course, and overseeing marketing product development. Before joining NDU permanently in 2005, she was a contractor at the college, specializing in partnering relationships and scholarship program management. Ms. Coopersmith worked at IBM and at Pricewaterhouse Coopers as a senior management consultant for 10 years, working with numerous government clients on Business Process Reengineering engagements. Prior to relocating to Northern Virginia, she was an Industrial Engineer and Total Quality Management (TQM) analyst at several Westinghouse Corporation facilities, including the Savannah River Site nuclear clean-up operation. In addition to outreach, engineering, and consulting, Ms. Coopersmith has guest lectured at local universities on strategic planning, organizational development, and human resource management, and was an adjunct professor at the University of Mary Washington. She recently won the AFCEA Meritorious Service Award for Excellence in Informations
Technology, and in 2007 was honored with the Best Corporate/College Partnerships Award from
Corporate University Xchange.
