Earned Value Management Workshop, March 12-14, 2013

The iCollege is pleased to announce that our sixth Earned Value Management Workshop will be offered March 12-14, 2013. This workshop is designed to prepare IT and Financial managers to understand and apply this valuable technique in the management and control of IT-intensive projects and programs. Priority will be given to Department of Defense, then to other Federal Agencies on a space available basis. Within those two categories, priority will be given to:

Course Description:
The use of Earned Value Management to track project status is not only a “best practice” in numerous organizations, but also mandated by the Federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for use during the development, modernization and enhancement (D/M/E) of major Information Technology investments. It is therefore critical that key management, finance and procurement personnel be aware of not only the concept but also the advantages and limitations of this management approach. This workshop is designed to prepare Federal IT professionals to implement, monitor and audit earned value management systems.

Prerequisites:
Enrollment in or graduates of the iCollege ITPM, CIO or CFO certificate programs. Other iCollege program participants on a space availible basis.

Participants will be notified of selection no later than 15 June, 2011. Those not selected will be placed on a waitlist, to be called as seats become available.

Credits
This course is equivalent to 24 hours of instructions in Project Management processes and procedures, which may be used toward professional development.
