The NDU iCollege has planned ahead for a possible DoD furlough and has scheduled summer courses around the following 11 furlough days. Generally, the college will work alternating 5-day full weeks, (to allow for our 5-day eResident courses to run as usual) then follow with a 3-day short week (where Thursday-Friday are furlough days). There are a few exceptions to this (see below).
Students who sign up for our summer courses are expected to attend all 5 days and should coordinate with their agency or office to be flexible around possible different furlough schedules in your organization. If you cannot commit to the full 5-day course, please choose a week in the fall when the same course is offered. The NDU iCollege offers the same courses multiple times throughout the academic year. Questions should be addressed to our Office of Student Services at: iCollegeOSS@ndu.edu .
Please note: Due to furloughs, NDU iCollege employees will be working
several 3-day weeks beginning 8 July 2013 (see our furlough schedule for more information). This means that response times may be slower, and some services may be unavailable. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
The below schedule will be adjusted accordingly if DoD furlough plans change:
Monday, July 8, 2013 - FURLOUGH DAY - no iCollege courses this week
Thursday-Friday, July 25-26 - FURLOUGH DAYS - no iCollege courses this week
Thursday-Friday, August 1-2 - FURLOUGH DAYS - no iCollege courses this week
Thursday-Friday, August 15-16 - FURLOUGH DAYS - no iCollege courses this week
Thursday-Friday, August 29-30 - FURLOUGH DAYS - no iCollege courses this week
Thursday-Friday, September 19-20 - FURLOUGH DAYS - no iCollege courses this week
