Al Zimmerman is currently serving as President/Chief Operating Officer of EPS Corporation, headquartered in New Jersey. He was formerly the Vice President for Strategic Initiatives for DRS Technologies. His responsibilities included coordination and development of strategic programs across the corporation, including mergers and acquisitions; major program pursuits; strategic partnering; and strategic planning. Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Zimmerman held several key positions in DRS, including the Vice President of Business Development at DRS Sustainment Systems in St. Louis, Missouri and Executive Vice President at DRS Tactical Systems in Melbourne, Florida.

Prior to joining DRS Technologies, Mr. Zimmerman held senior management positions at Loral Corporation where he was Director of Business Development, and was also a Program Manager; Lockheed Martin, as the Director of International Business Development; and at Paravant Computer Systems, as the Executive Vice President. In these roles, Mr. Zimmerman experienced all aspects of running a complex business, including acquisition of business, product development, manufacturing, service, support, and profit and loss. Prior to entering the defense industry, Mr. Zimmerman served in the US Army for 20 years. His assignments included Deputy Director of Combat Training Centers for the Training and Doctrine Command Center, Director of Training and Simulations for US Army Berlin, V Corps Director of Combat Simulations, Company Commander, and Army Aviator. Mr. Zimmerman attended the University of California and Embry-Riddle University. He is married with three children, and he resides with his wife in Merritt Island, Florida.
