First Sergeant Dymetra Latonya Bass, United States Army
Senior Enlisted Advisor

First Sergeant Dymetra Latonya Bass was born in Nashville, Tennessee. She enlisted into the United States Army on 7 November 1989 and was awarded the MOS of 71L (Administrative Specialist) upon completion of AIT in March 1990.

1SG Bass military education includes Drill Sergeant School, Equal Opportunity Advisor Course, ANCOC, BNCOC, PLDC, Combat Lifesaver Course, Basic Rifle Marksmanship Masters Course, and the HIV/AIDS Instructor Trainer Course Phase I, II.
1SG Bass received an Associates Degree in Business Management from Central Texas College. She has successfully completed her junior year with Columbia College, working toward a Bachelors of Science in Human Resources.

1SG Bass assignments include overseas tours in Soegal, Germany, and two tours in Korea, Camp Casey and Camp Coiner. Her CONUS assignments include Fort Riley, Kansas (two tours); Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; Fort Sill, Oklahoma; and Fort Stewart, Georgia. She has served in the following duty positions: Administrative Clerk; Personnel Action Center Clerk; Assistant Personnel Sergeant; Installation Services Support Office NCOIC; Operations Sergeant; Drill Sergeant; Battalion Personnel Office NCOIC; Equal Opportunity Advisor; Detachment Sergeant; G3 Central Tasking NCOIC; 3rd Infantry Division Reception Center NCOIC; First Sergeant for Alpha Company, 3d Forward Support Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division; and Brigade Human Resource Management NCOIC. She served in combat for OIF III with the 3d Infantry Division from January 2005 to February 2006.

1SG Bass awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal-1 OLC, Army Commendation Medal-5th OLC, Army Achievement Medal-3 OLC. During her career she has earned the title of Soldier of the Month and Soldier of the Quarter for 541st Maintenance Battalion, selected as 937th Engineer Group Soldier of the Quarter, and NCO of the Month for Headquarters Command 1st Infantry Division. 1SG Bass was also inducted into the Audie Murphy Club and has been a proud member since 1999.
