William C. Bodie is a Senior Fellow, Institute for National Strategic Studies, National Defense University. Previously, he was Chairman of the Manhattan Institute Seminar on International Affairs. He is the author of The Intelligent Layperson's Guide to Star Wars (National Strategy Information Center, 1986) and has published articles and reviews in the Wall Street Journal, Orbis, World Affairs, and other periodicals.
From time to time, the Institute for National Strategic Studies will publish short papers to provoke thought and inform discussion on issues of US national security in the post-cold war era. These monographs will present current topics related to national security strategy and policy, defense resource management, international affairs, civil-military relations, military technology, and joint, combined, and coalition operations.
