Program Overview
Energy security is a critical element of U.S. national security for the Department of Defense. Moving forward in the 21st century, significant defense-related energy problems confront the U.S. military which necessitate intense scrutiny and analysis. The mission of the Energy & Environmental Security Policy program at the Institute for National Strategic Studies within National Defense University is to examine these crucial energy issues and provide analysis and recommendations to policymakers.
