7th International Lessons Learned Conference. The 7th International Lessons Learned Conference will seek to derive lessons and best practices from the international community’s design and implementation of large-scale stability and peacekeeping operations (such as Afghanistan and Iraq), smaller-scale engagements (such as Southern Sudan, Cote d’Ivoire, and Lebanon), as well as its broader efforts to balance conflict prevention with support for greater citizen participation and economic freedom throughout the Middle East and North Africa. It will examine the ends, ways, and means employed in these operations and in the international community’s broader conflict prevention efforts in the region. |
