About RSS Feeds
RSS Feeds are openly available news feeds, alerting you almost instantly to new and updated content in various areas of the web site. They require an RSS reader such as Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Firefox, or Google Reader, but no personal information like email addresses (or even your name!) is required to receive them.
RSS is commonly known as Really Simple Syndication, (this isn't actually necessarily what it stands for - see here for more trivia regarding RSS and its history) and is a standardized format for the distribution of frequently updated information on the internet.
