MRAPs, Irregular Warfare, and Pentagon Reform
On November 3, 2011, the Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities, House Armed Services Committee, convened to review "to what extent we learn from our experience and build on it; and to what extent we assume the past was an abberation and now we can 'get back to normal'."
During his floor time, Chairman Thornberry discussed Dr. Lamb's study regarding the resistance in the Pentagon for MRAPS, and as a result of the study MRAPS were then approved - and highlighted the various issues regarding Irregular Warfare.
