Samuel D. Kleinman

 

 

Sam Kleinman is the Vice President of the Resource Analysis Division at the CNA Corporation.  The division provides analytical services to help its sponsors develop and evaluate policies, programs, and management practices regarding their workforce, equipment, and facilities.  He has been in that position since April 1999.

 

Mr. Kleinman has participated on several outside study teams.   He was a member of the Defense Science Board’s 1996 study of operating and support costs and the National Research Council task force examining Navy shore installation readiness and management.  He provided analytical support to the Commission on Roles and Missions and the National Defense Panel.  He also has testified to congressional committees on the merits of public-private competitions.

 

Mr. Kleinman attended Herbert Lehman College and graduated cum laude with department honors in economics.  He earned an M.S. and Ph.D. at the University of Rochester Graduate School of Management.  He is a member of Sigma Xi, and he has received the Navy Superior Service Award and CNA's Distinguished Service Award.
