Stephen E. Biegun
Stephen E. Biegun has served since 1986 as a foreign policy advisor to Republican members of the United States Congress. In May 1999 he was appointed Chief of Staff of the Committee on Foreign Relations in the United States Senate. Prior to becoming Chief of Staff, Mr. Biegun was the Senior Professional. Staff Member for European Affairs on the Committee. In this capacity he was the principle committee staff member on matters related to the continent of Europe, including Russia, the South Caucasus and Central Asia, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the European Union, and the Organization on Security and Cooperation in Europe. From, 1995-96 Mr. Biegun served as co-chair of the European Foreign Policy Issues Group for the campaign of Republican Presidential Candidate Robert J. Dole.
