DR. ROBERT L. BUTTERWORTH
Dr. Butterworth is President of Aries Analytics, Inc., and principal investigator for the company's space research. Aries Analytics, founded in 1991, provides market analyses and program development services to government, commercial, and non-profit clients concerned with space and space-related R&D. Dr. Butterworth started the company after serving on the staff of the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, and the Department of Defense. A member of the Senior Executive Service, he was responsible for review and oversight activities, budget support, and program analysis of selected space and intelligence activities. He came to the government from the tenured faculty of Pennsylvania State University, where he was an Associate Professor teaching and conducting research in international relations, national security policy, and research methods. He is the author of several contributions to basic and applied research in international affairs and national security studies. He currently teaches graduate courses in space and national security affairs at George Washington University.
