Assistant Director
International Trade Relations, Motorola Inc.
Mr.
Brecher is Assistant Director for International Trade Relations in Motorola’s
Government Relations Office in Washington, D.C., with a focus on the
Asia-Pacific region. In this capacity, he participates in the development of
Motorola’s positions on trade policy and trade promotion, and is responsible
for the representation of those positions before U.S. Executive branch agencies.
Prior
to joining Motorola in July 1998, Mr. Brecher served for nearly ten years at the
United States-China Business Council, the last four years of which he served in
the position of Vice President. He
oversaw the operations of the Council's offices in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong
Kong, and supervised the business consulting services and government relations
work, concentrating on issues such as the annual review of China's Most Favored
Nation trading status and accession to the World Trade Organization.
Mr.
Brecher received an M.A. in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins
School of Advanced International Studies, and a B.A. from the University of
Wisconsin.
