KAREN
M. SUTTER - is Director of Business Advisory Services at the US-China Business
Council in Washington, DC. Founded
in 1973, the Council is the principal organization of US corporations engaged in
business relations with the People's Republic of China.
Ms. Sutter received a Master's degree in International Studies from the
University of Washington where she was a Henry M. Jackson Fellow from 1991 to
1993 and is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
She has worked and studied abroad in Strasbourg, Beijing and Taipei.
From 1993 to 1997, Ms. Sutter worked at The Atlantic Council of the
United States. She previously
worked for The National Bureau of Asian Research in Seattle and The Asia Society
in Washington, DC. Her publications
include China's Vietnam Policy: The Road to Normalization and Prospects for the
Sino-Vietnamese Relationship; Domestic and International Determinants of Foreign
Policy in Taiwan; and Taiwan 2020 (book editor).
