GRIGORIY LOGVINOV
Mr.
Logvinov is the Political Counselor for South and East Asian Affairs, The
Russian Embassy to the United States. He
graduated from Moscow University (College for Asian and African Studies).
Mr. Logvinov has been in the diplomatic service since 1979 positioned in
the People’s Republic of China from 1980 to 1983 and again from 1987 to 1993.
From 1993 until 1996, he was assigned as Director, Office for Chinese
Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
He participated in all Russian (Soviet)-Chinese consultations, talks and
meetings from 1982 through 1996, including political consultations on
normalization of bilateral relations in 1982-1988; border negotiations in
1987-1996; arms reduction talks in the border area in 1987-1996; President
Gorbachev’s China trip in 1989; President Yeltsin’s visits to the PRC in
1992 and 1996; and, President Jiang Jemin and President Li Peng visits to Russia
in 1994 and 1995.
