RU’AN
Dr. Ye has been a Senior Fellow at the China Institute of International Studies in Beijing since April 2000. He is a graduate from the English Department, Beijing Foreign Languages Institute. Dr. Ye served as a Translator/Interpreter at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1965 to 1972 before joining the China Institute of International Studies in 1973. He worked as a Researcher (U.S. foreign/defense policies and international security). Between 1982 and 1983, he was a Visiting Scholar, Center for International Security and Arms Control, Stanford University, California. In 1985 he became Deputy Director/Director, International Politics Studies, CIIS. He was a Visiting Scholar, International Institute for Strategic Studies, London in 1988. Between 1990 and 1993 he served as Vice President, China Institute of International Studies. Dr. Ye was Counselor/Minister-Counselor, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the United States between 1994 and 2000.
