Elective Courses
The IRM College electives offer intellectually demanding and academically challenging courses that allow students to pursue professional interests and acquire specific knowledge and skills in information resources management-related fields of study. These courses are open to students from the IRM College Advanced Management Program as well as students attending the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF), the National War College (NWC), and the School for National Executive Education. The College elective courses enable these students to broaden their knowledge or to delve deeper into the areas that are covered in their core programs. For example, students can pursue studies in the areas of multimedia technologies, knowledge management, capital planning, network security, and information operations. Because the IRM College electives are open to students from ICAF and the NWC, these course officially support the Department of Defense's Joint Professional Military Education Phase II program.
