Since 1988, the Information Resources Management (IRM) College has served as the Federal Government’s primary education provider for information-driven initiatives, delivering customized educational experiences to current and future information leaders. Today, the IRM College is the largest component of National Defense University and is internationally recognized as the institution of choice to develop leaders for an interconnected, dynamic world. The faculty and staff are committed to building on past successes and to harnessing the power of information for the 21st Century through education, global partnerships, and collaboration. Throughout the year, the College will be offering a series of activities leading up to its Anniversary Gala on September 20, 2008. The first educational event is a symposium on “Cyberspace and Conflict in the 21st Century” on February 28. The next symposia include “Privacy Issues” on April 3 and “Web 2.0” on September 19. More information on these events can be found on the Symposia page. In addition to several 20th Anniversary events, the College will spearhead the new Federal Consortium for Virtual Worlds and will expand its Information Assurance laboratories to include simulations, gaming, and crisis management capabilities. Please join us as we continue to be at the forefront of issues, concepts, and communities that leverage the information component of national power. Dare to help us Shape the Future! 20th Anniversary Contact: Patty Coopersmith or 202-685-2117 |
