Marwan M. Jamal

Marwan Jamal is a teaches Systems Management at the National Defense University. He has developed courses in Information Technology (IT) for Managers in the Federal Agencies and DoD, as well as courses in Global Enterprise Networking and Telecommunications, Virtual Reality, Collaborative Computing, Simulation and Modeling. Previously he taught for the George Washington University, School of Business and Public Management and continues as an adjunct in its graduate Business Technology program.

In the past fifteen years in the management information systems field, Professor Jamal built specialized applications in virtual reality for the Defense Special Weapons Agency, The New York Stock Exchange, and General Electric.  He participates regularly in conferences on wireless technologies, telecommunications and emerging mobile computing systems. 

As a graduate from the George Washington University, he holds a B.S. in Information Technologies, an M.S. in Information Systems Technology, an M.B.A. in International Business and Finance, and a Ph.D. in Information Systems/Organizational Behavior and Development.

Areas of Expertise: Wireless technologies: applications, devices and integration; telecommunication infrastructure: LAN, WAN and satellites; emerging technologies: intelligent agents, collaborative computing, voice recognition systems, expert systems and virtual reality; network management and security; netcentric concepts.
