Charter for Center for the Information Assurance Education (CIAE)

The Center for Information Assurance Education (CIAE) is hereby established within the Information Resources Management College. The Center’s mission is to advance understanding, foster applied research, and serve as a clearinghouse for information operations and assurance education. Its activities will include research, publication, and sponsorship of symposia in the Information Assurance arena.
The center will serve to further the needs of the Department of Defense and the U.S. Government to provide Information Assurance training, certification, and personnel management to the CIO and subordinates under the direction of the Clinger-Cohen act of 1996 and the Federal Information Security Management Act of 2000.

Mission
The Center for Information Assurance in Education (CIAE) advances the understanding, fosters applied research, and serves as a clearinghouse for information assurance education for military and civilian leaders. The CIAE promotes information assurance partnerships and conducts, publishes, and disseminates applied research/scholarship to advance the understanding of information assurance.
