National Recognition

At the 2006 10th Annual Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education, Professor Daniel J. Ryan, IRMC, was awarded the prestigious William Hugh Murray Founders Award. Named for its first recipient, the award recognizes a lifetime of achievements in information assurance serving the public and private sectors and academia. Former recipients of the award include Richard Clarke, Michael Jacobs and Gene Spafford.

The Information Assurance Courseware Evaluation (IACE) Review Committee has reviewed a set of courseware at the Information Resources Management College and determined that it meets the National Training Standards for:

4011 Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professionals

4012 Designated Approving Authority (Senior Systems Managers).

National Center of Excellence

The Information Resources Management College of the National Defense University has been designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAEIAE).

The National CAEIAE is jointly sponsored by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security.
