John R. Rossi

John R. Rossi has nearly 30 years of professional experience in Information Security and Information Technology (IT) nationwide, for both classified and sensitive systems.
Mr. Rossi holds a Top Secret Clearance, is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and is internationally certified as an instructor of the CISSP Review Seminar with the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2 the organization that manages the CISSP program worldwide.
John teaches in the Information Operations and Assurance Department at the NDU/IRMC. Prior to joining the IRMC, he was a computer scientist for information security, research, and training with the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, Washington D.C. Headquarters. He was Security Division Manager of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Nuclear Weapons Security Program and National Program Manager for Computer Security Certification and Accreditation with the U.S. Department of Defense during Desert Storm.
Mr. Rossi has been featured in information security training videotapes used nationwide. He is a speaker at information security conferences, and has been featured in more than 450 syndicated newspapers, front page of Money magazine, U.S. News & World Report, and other national magazines; and he was the guest expert on business radio, for internationally-recognized accomplishments in the IT field.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Sociology and a Master's Degree in Agency Counseling.
