Robert Childs, Senior Director, Information Resources Management College, National Defense University Dr. Robert Childs is the Senior Director, IRM College, National Defense University. He has held this position since 1998. He served as the Dean of Faculty and Academic Programs in the College since 1991. With his leadership and support, the Federal Consortium for Virtual Worlds was created. Dr. Childs is a specialist in information resources management leadership, information sharing, collaboration, partnerships, and organizational development with a focus on learning organizations. His articles, IS Education: Different by Design and An Informational Age University: A Living Organism Based on Intellectual Capital, highlight some of his thoughts on these topics. Dr. Childs consults with civilian university officials, industry and international leaders regarding IRM program development and institutional structure and governance. He has worked with such diverse groups as the Gartner, London School of Economics, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Royal Defense College, NATO School, Marshall Center, France Telecom, IBM, Google and various government agencies regarding strategic use of information, information technology, organizational models and building educational programs. |
