WELCOME MESSAGE
The Spouse's International Cultural Exchange (SpICE) Program is a loose knit, all volunteer organization that allows members of NDU's International Community the opportunity for social interaction with each other with American Citizens in a supportive, non threatening environment. The purpose of the group is to learn a little bit about one another, make friends and have fun.
WHEN & WHERE
The SpICE Program meets on Thursday mornings from 9:30 - 11:30 am, at the ISMO Conference Room #126, Eisenhower Hall. Meetings are held in an informal and relaxed manner and dress is casual. Advance notice will be given for special on and off site activities.
WHO QUALIFIES?
Participation is on a strictly voluntary basis and is open to family members of NDU's International Community, as well as Americans recruited from NDU Spouse Clubs, Faculty and Staff.
AN INTERACTIVE AGENDA
The SpICE Program offers people from very diverse backgrounds and cultures the opportunity to learn from and about one another while getting to know each other as people through general conversation, various team building exercises and other types of cross cultural exchange. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about each other's families, countries, customs, dress, foods, holiday traditions and so forth. This two-way conduit of open communication is based on mutual respect, honesty, trust, camaraderie and friendship. The SpICE Program IS NOT an ESOL Program (English for Speakers of Other Languages Class).
