Colonel Kim Waldron joined the NWC faculty in June 2010. In her previous assignment, she was dual-hatted as the Commander of both the 603d Support Group and the 401st Air Expeditionary Group. In these roles, she oversaw communications support to the 603d Air & Space Operations Center, theater-wide weather support for Europe & Africa and rotational support to Balkans operations. Colonel Waldron was commissioned through the Officer Training School in May 1984. Her experience includes: Staff Weather Officer for Alaskan Air Command and the Alaskan NORAD Region; Chief of Meteorological Models at the Air Force Global Weather Central; Weather Flight Commander at Kadena AB; Weather Strategic Operations Planner and Executive Officer at the Pentagon; Commander of the 20th Operational Weather Squadron; Director of Operations for the Air Force Weather Agency, and Weather Division Chief for United States Air Forces in Europe.
