Colonel Holiday joined the NWC faculty in the summer of 2011 coming from the Office of the Secretary of Defense were he was the Chief of Global Force Management for the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy. He is a 1984 Graduate of the United States Military Academy where he earned a BBAS in National Security and Public Affairs and was commissioned as an armor officer. He has served in a variety of command and staff positions in locations around the world to include tours in Germany, Korea, Egypt and Iraq. Combat experiences include Chief of the Effects and Assessment Cell at Multi-National Force HQs in Iraq and J3 of the Joint Interagency Task Force for High Value Individuals also in Iraq. Other key assignments include Chief of Plans at US Eighth Army in Korea.

Colonel Holiday is a graduate of the US Army Command and General Staff Officer Course, the School of Advance Military Studies where he received a Master of Military Art and Science, and the US Army War College where he received a Master of Strategic Studies. Additionally, he has earned a Masters in Political Science from the University of Louisville.
