

Colonel Vité joined the NWC faculty in July 2011 upon completing command of the 4th Air Support Operations Group, USAFE, Heidelberg, Germany where he served as the airpower liaison to the V Corps CDR and responsible for airpower C2 as the forward element of the AOC. Col Vité was commissioned in 1984 from Texas A&M University with a degree in Management. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Computer Resource and Information Management from Webster University and is a graduate of the German Air and Command Staff College. He has held numerous flying, staff and instructor positions in training and bomber wings, USAFE’s Air Operations Center and OSD Policy - African Affairs, where he worked on the stand-up of AFRICOM and was a regional Director for West Africa. He commanded garrison and expeditionary squadron and group commands deploying numerous times in support of combat operations in OIF and OEF. He is a command pilot with more than 3000 flying hours and over 220 combat hours in the B-1.
