Colonel Eric F. Buer, USMC

Colonel Eric F. Buer, USMC joined the faculty of the National War College in 2010 after serving 3 years on the Joint Staff. As an AH-1W pilot he completed multiple Marine Expeditionary Unit deployments throughout the Persian Gulf, Somalia, Bosnia and Mediterranean from 1991-1997. In 2003 he flew in support of I Marine Expeditionary Force during Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and as the commander of the 'Coyotes' he deployed in support of OIF II in 2004 and OIF 04 in 2005. He has a BA in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University, MBA from LaSalle University, MMS from the USMC Command and Staff College and MSS from the Marine Corps War College.
