This clipart collection was assembled principally
to assist military and civilian personnel assigned to the National War
College and the National Defense University in carrying out their educational
and administrative duties, particularly with regard to preparing individual
presentations, facilitating class activities, and conducting exercises.
The core of this collection addresses Allied Commands, the US Combatant
Commands, and the Services (to include the Coast Guard) relative to action
photographs, clipart, equipment, key leaders, and insignia of all kinds.
It also features the Interagency; salient foreign military equipment;
current US and foreign leaders; flags and maps of states, regions, and
international organizations (military and civilian); portraits of former
Presidents; prominent US national sites; and the National Defense University.
It is our intention to update, expand, and improve this collection periodically.
In that regard, we encourage individuals and organizations to send us
additional images for incorporation into the collection. This is
best done electronically by email to the address listed at the end of
this paragraph. To the best of our knowledge, all images in the
collection belong to the public domain and are thus available for use
without obtaining permissions. However, we request that any substantial
use of this collection--to include especially significant incorporation
of its files on web sites--fully credit the National War College as a
