Established in 2010, the NDU Research Council provides the NDU President and Vice President for Research and Applied Learning with advice and recommendations that support the activities of the research community at NDU. It fosters innovation, responsiveness and collaboration across the NDU research enterprise to help ensure that the University’s educational mission receives maximum benefit from its research.

The Council supports an educational and research climate that fosters and protects free expression, rigorous analysis and open intellectual exchange. It does this by increasing the visibility of NDU’s research and expertise; facilitating cooperation and collaborative research among the University’s colleges and Regional Centers; facilitating the infusion of NDU research into Joint Professional Military Education curricula; and advising the NDU President on the implantation of the research mission.
