March 29, 2017 - In the fall semester of 2016, NDU's International Student Management Office (ISMO) launched a pilot program to incorporate two U.S. students -- deemed "American Fellows" -- and a cohort of Faculty Seminar Leaders (FSLs) from across the University into each semester of the the year-long American Studies elective course offered to NDU's International Fellows. Building on the pilot's resounding success, ISMO plans to recruit American Fellows from the incoming Class of 2018, and has scheduled two information sessions for NDU faculty members interested in serving as FSLs next year.
March 27, 2017 - Students, faculty, staff and friends of NDU: Participate in a vital American foreign policy initiative by sponsoring an international military officer attending NDU from one of more than 60 countries during academic year 2017-2018. Make new, potentially lifelong friends -- and learn new things about the world in which we all live!
February 24, 2017 - General David Petraeus, former Director of the CIA, spoke candidly on irregular war, large-scale conventional conflict, organizational architecture, and good management and oversight practices to a packed crowd attending February's Changing Character of War Symposium hosted by the Institute for National Strategic Studies. The Symposium's 90-minute discussions -- which feature national and international thought leaders -- are offered monthly at NDU, off the record and under Chatham House Rule. Past speakers include LTG H.R. McMaster and Gen. Paul J. Selva, VCJCS. The March 20 Symposium will feature GEN Curtis Scaparrotti, Commander of USEUCOM and SACEUR. 
August 29, 2016 - On September 13 from 1430-1600, ADM Harry Harris, Commander U.S. Pacific Command, will be the featured speaker for the inaugural session of INSS' monthly symposium “Changing Character of War.”
