On May 14, 2014 National Defense University President Major General Gregg F. Martin and Senior Vice President Ambassador Wanda L. Nesbitt hosted a delegation led by Pakistan Air Vice Marshall Sohail Aman, Deputy Chief of Air Staff (Operations). The delegation was joined by CISA Professor Dr. Hassan Abbas and INSS Researcher Michael Kofman.
NDU maintains an important bilateral relationship with the Pakistani military, hosting four Pakistani students this year and several delegations annually. Vice Marshall Aman stressed the importance of professional military education as a facilitator of strong linkages and an to maintain relations while benefitting from collaboration and shared strategic perspectives.
Vice Marshall Aman is a 3-star general officer equivalent in the Pakistani Air Force. The delegation participated in a roundtable discussion with NDU professors and subject matter experts to discuss the Pakistani Air Force’s contributions to counterterror operations and the service’s future role.
