2014 Al-Qa’ida Conference Held at NDU

The National Defense University's (NDU) College of International Security Affairs and the National Counterterrorism Center co-sponsored the 2014 Al-Qa’ida Conference “Environments Driving the Terrorism Landscape” at NDU's Washington, D.C. campus on June 17-18. The conference featured keynote addresses by former Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Michèle Flournoy and Congressman Mike Rogers (R-Mich.), Chairman of the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

Flournoy is currently the Chief Executive Officer at the Center for New American Security and a senior advisor at the Boston Consulting Group. She was previously a Distinguished Research Professor at NDU's Institute for National Security Studies (INSS).

Rogers represents Michigan's 8th Congressional District. In the 112th Congress, he authored three bipartisan intelligence authorization bills that became law.
