African Leadership Development Symposium Held at NDU

The National Defense University’s (NDU) Institute for National Strategic Studies held a Lincoln Symposium panel of experts on Friday, July 18th to discuss African Leadership Development. The symposium’s keynote speaker was Dr. Raymond Gilpin, Academic Dean of NDU’s Africa Center for Strategic Studies. Other distinguished panelists included: Ms. Semhar Araia, Founder and Executive Director of the Diaspora Women’s Network; Col. Thomas Dempsey, Assistant Professor and Academic Chair for Security Studies at NDU’s Africa’s Center for Strategic Studies; Mr. Michel Dzaringa, Founder and Executive Director of Africa United/Congo United; Dr. Miguel Ferreira da Silva, Senior Portuguese Representative at NDU’s Africa Center for Strategic Studies; and Mr. Gabino M. Guerengomba, member of the African Diaspora for Change.
